This month we’re moving onto braiding… Don’t be afraid! This one is easy!
Former ‘Hills’ star Lauren Conrad is the object of our hair desires with this laid back, stylish look.
Step 1: For a really relaxed look, leave any natural movement in your hair before you start braiding, or for a slightly more sleek look, brush through your hair using a large paddle brush. Bring all your hair to one side of your head and secure in a ponytail with an elastic just below your ear.
Step 2: Separate the ponytail into two equal sections, let’s call these ‘pony 1′ and ‘pony 2′. Take a small section from the outside of pony 1 and bring it across into pony 2. Then take a small section from the outside of pony 2 and bring it across into pony 1. Then repeat this process swapping from pony 1 to pony 2, each time pulling the two ponytails to tighten the braid. Don’t over think it, once you cross a section over, just drop it and concentrate on the next one!
Step 3: Once you have no more hair to work with, secure the end of the braid with an elastic. Then CAREFULLY snip the first elastic, at the top of the braid, with a pair of scissors to release it. To make the look more casual, just loosen the braid slightly with your fingers.
So there you have it, simple braid to create a casual look to impress all your friends at that festival you’re going to this summer!!
